I hope to show that with dedication and a bit of thought anyone can take a good photograph,more so now that we have digital cameras , gone are the days of buying film, loading it up, exposing the film, processing it and then printing it only to find that because of not thinking the process through all sorts of errors / faults appeared on the images.It does not matter weather you own a small compact digital camera or a full DSLR, the principles are the same. For great images you have to tell the camera what to do by way of thinking through your goals and then through your options, then entering your settings into the camera. Dont get me wrong shooting on full auto is fun but it takes the sense of achievement out of the end result, where as if you used shutter or aperture priority or even full manual and achieved the desired effect in camera, you can say with hand on heart "i did that" and what a feeling it is too
